Live Music: Gretje Angell

Time: 7pm to 10pm

Gretje entrances with her dulcet tones and brings the audience along on a journey with her throughout her performances. Originally hailing from Akron, OH, as a third generation musician, music has been in her heart and soul from an early age.

Mainly influenced by Anita O’Day, Chet Baker, Ella Fitzgerald, and Carmen McRae, Gretje’s sense of rhythm and phrasing – with a pure, even tone to match – is inspired by these jazz greats. Her tongue dances lightly over both Brazilian rhythms and swing, giving into the music with improvisational performances, making her a tour de force on the scene and rivaling contemporary vocalists such as the much admired Cyrille Aimee and Diana Krall.

Live Music: Aubrey Buchanan

Time: 7pm to 10pm

Aubrey is a Los Angeles based SAG/AFTRA session singer, performer and background vocalist. As a child, Aubrey grew up with the music industry in her living room. It seemed obvious that she would eventually pursue a career within it. Her first session was singing with a small group of children on Bryan Duncan’s album “Christmas Is Jesus” when she was 9, and from that moment on she was hooked. She has since gone on to sing for films, such as August Rush, as well as background vocals for major artists such as Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, and Kristin Chenoweth (Wicked, Glee). In addition to working as a session singer in Los Angeles, she currently sings with the Metropolitan Master Chorale, and SistaSoul, a female R&B Soul trio based in Los Angeles.
